Ms. Curtis was friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable of the housing market. My house sold in one and a half weeks, despite the fact that several other houses were on the market in my immediate vicinity. Also, her common sense prevented me from spending money unnecessarily to try to sell my home. I was so […]

No house, no real estate agent is going to be the right house or right agent for everyone. But every house, every real estate agent can be the right one for someone. They just have to get their stories straight and keep their promises…and how to do it?
Put your best real forward.
Keep the house neat, make all the beds.” “Wipe counters, sweep floors.” That’s what my real estate agent says. I do as I’m told, the house is show ready. My phone keeps ringing, the showings are steady. I’ve scrubbed and washed, You could eat off the floor. I know the latch on […]
First Impression “The term applied to the initial impression we have of another person when we meet for the first time. It contains positive and negative impressions and a sense of physical and psychological features.” Psychology Dictionary It was a cold but sunny winter Sunday. I had an open house at my super impressive […]
I once had a very experienced appraiser tell me five to ten percent of the value of a house is intangible and attributable only to the subjective feeling and opinion of the buyer who wants it. Ninety percent of the value is determined by facts and up to ten percent determined by feeling.
When you are selling your home and want to maximize the sales price it’s critical to focus on, plan and prepare your home for the buyer that wants it. Because it is their opinion, their feeling when they walk in the door that accounts for a five to ten percent portion of the value of a home. Think feeling for dollars!
I like being a real estate agent. I like the work. And it’s nice to like your job…it makes the whole idea of working more pleasurable. Earning a living doing something you enjoy so you can do your life…it’s a good thing. But it’s not the best thing… The best thing is moments. Those moments […]
We couldn’t have asked for a better realtor in Amy. She was very easy to reach by email/phone whenever we had a question or found a house that we wanted to see. She has a warm, friendly personality, and she takes her time walking through every house with you–never making you feel rushed or on […]
Amy was absolutely amazing during the sale of our home. She became emotionally vested in our journey, and I never felt like just another client. From competitive price negotiations, inspections, attorney communication to phone calls and closing details, I never felt alone […]
Amy was the fourth real estate person attempting to sell my home. She did more than any of the others. I had more people who were potential buyers come though, rather than other real estate persons. She staged my home and took great pictures. She was great and I would recommend her to anyone in […]
We LOVED working with Amy Curtis. She sold our home and helped us find our new home! She was extremely knowledgeable about the areas we were interested in or she made an effort to research the area. She was very easy to get a hold of and responded very quickly. She was very professional but […]
Amy was a complete professional. She was always helpful and resourceful. Amy worked with a stager who really highlighted my house and gave me easy ideas to make it attractive to prospective buyers. Whenever I had a question or concern, Amy gave an immediate well thought out response. One of the things I liked about […]
Amy helped us sell two homes in the last 6 months! She knows the local market. Both our properties sold within weeks of going on the market and we were extremely happy with the whole process.
She was very knowledgeable about the current market. She was positive about our home yet realistic. Her service was outstanding. She professionally staged and photographed my home which showed it at its best…
Amy was able to effectively get my condo sold for what I considered to be the best price for the market, and to a buyer who was particularly picky about insignificant imperfections throughout the inspection. Starting with bringing in a “stager” and professional photographer to present the property in the best possible light, and negotiating […]
Amy not only was professional, but her “personal” side shone through at all times and made this a very pleasant experience for my wife and I. In fact, my daughter made a comment after we sold our house saying sadly “Does this mean we don’t get to see Amy again!?” What more could you say about Amy then hearing it directly from the mouth of a 7-year old!!!
